I recently visited Udupi Palace on Valencia St. for some South Indian cuisine, and overall, it was a great experience. The food was delicious, especially the thali and dosa, which we highly recommend. The idly and vada were also good and did not disappoint.

However, the panipuri we ordered was not up to the mark. It didn't quite meet our expectations. Despite this, the overall dining experience was positive, thanks to the excellent service and the quality of the other dishes.

If you're looking for authentic South Indian food, Udupi Palace is definitely worth a visit. Just maybe skip the panipuri and stick with their strengths!!

This place is a great food joint with a mix of flavors. The dishes were well-prepared, though the sambhar could use a bit more authentic sourness, and the chole were a touch too sweet. However, the bhature for the chole bhature were fantastic! The rest of the dishes are perfect for anyone feeling nostalgic after being in the States for over a year. It's a must-try if you're in town. The ambiance could use some attention; there were spider webs on the ceiling, making it feel like the spiders are holding a web design contest! The restroom area was also a bit messy. Overall, it's a charming spot with room for improvement.

I think as there is no other Indian vegetarian food options available in and around this Udupi palace, this place has 4.2 rating, it is not even worth 1/5.
Over hyped.
Ordered:
Udupi combo × 2 ( one with masala dosa, other with veggie uthappam) both 1/5
Thali - 2.5/5( poori was decent)
Gobi Manchurian was too salty - 0/5

Over all an utter disappointment.

Alright south Indian food. Not anything crazy but they do a decent job. We ordered their Thai which is a plate with a bunch of small dishes. The Avial (which has coconut) had an off putting after taste, like it was made with rancid oil. Everything else was alright and appetizing. Their Mango Lassi was too sweet also. A tad bid less sugar with more yogurt would do the trick.
